Along the Gravel Road Podcast
Welcome to the Along the Gravel Road Podcast where we’re changing the conversation around mental health. As a You Aren’t Alone Project non-profit initiative, the goal of the podcast is to provide a safe platform for people to share their stories and give others a sense of hope and connection.
With guests ranging from individuals who are open and willing to share their own mental health journeys to mental health professionals to share expertise and advice.
Trigger warning: Some topics discussed in these episodes may be difficult for listeners to hear. If you are feeling triggered by a topic, we encourage you to listen when you are in a better space, or with someone you trust.
Unless otherwise stated, topics discussed are based on personal experiences, not professional advice, and should not be considered an alternative to seeking support from a mental health professional when needed. Additional resources will be provided in the show notes of each episode.

My Journey to Serve Through Addiction Counseling with Elizabeth Rhea
In this episode, Elizabeth Rhea opens up about her struggle with anxiety and how it has shown up in different areas of her life. She shares her experience with getting support for her own mental health and eventually finding her calling as an addiction counselor. We explore what that has looked like for her and what surrounds addiction treatment.
Elizabeth serves as an addiction counselor with Journey to Insight where she facilitates Intensive Outpatient group and individual sessions and supports the administrative operations of the organization. She holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv) and is very involved with her church community. She and her husband also own Rhea Media Group which produces this podcast (and offers many other amazing video and production services).
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, you are not alone. For treatment options, visit journeytoinsight.com or aa.org to find a meeting in your area.
