Welcome to the Along the Gravel Road Podcast where we’re changing the conversation around mental health. As a You Aren’t Alone Project non-profit initiative, the goal of the podcast is to provide a safe platform for people to share their stories and give others a sense of hope and connection.
With guests ranging from individuals who are open and willing to share their own mental health journeys to mental health professionals to share expertise and advice.
Trigger warning: Some topics discussed in these episodes may be difficult for listeners to hear. If you are feeling triggered by a topic, we encourage you to listen when you are in a better space, or with someone you trust.
Unless otherwise stated, topics discussed are based on personal experiences, not professional advice, and should not be considered an alternative to seeking support from a mental health professional when needed. Additional resources will be provided in the show notes of each episode.

My journey through anxiety to acceptance with Ebony Smith
On this episode, Ebony Smith joins us to share how getting help for her mental health has brought her on a journey of letting go of a false sense of control, accepting her full self, and acknowledging the impact her past trauma has had in order to heal and move forward. Ebony is also in the process of starting a nonprofit for supporting those struggling with addiction. Follow @gracefulljourneys on Instagram for more.
Ebony Smith is the founder of Gracefull Grind Strategies in Baton Rouge.
